Checkin' in

Hi All,
There have been a few developments since my last journal entry. My new cd, "Louis' Blues", has gotten quite a bit of airplay around the Bay area on different radio stations. It's even getting played in more distant places such as Canada and the Carolina coast. My cd will also be reviewed in the upcoming June issue of Blues Revue magazine.
As far as the band goes, we've been rehearsing a bunch of Louis Jordan material and are gearing up for a few gigs as well as a possible national tour later in the summer. Our very first gig will be at Ashkenaz in Berkeley, CA. on May 1st. Also, we'll be opening for Shana Morrison at Constable Jack's in Newcastle, CA. on May 28th(Memorial Day weekend). Meanwhile, I continue to play regularly with my longtime band, The High Rollers, in the Bay area. Be sure to check the calendar on the Website for more upcoming shows. I'm looking forward to playing with these new guys and I hope to catch some of you (the cool music enthuiasists) in the near future. Until then, take care!
